WHAT IS EXPANDOTHANE?

ExpandoThane™ is an expanding waterproofing compound.

It contains micro blowing agents that create a tough and flexible waterproofing membrane capable of sealing the gaps and crevices. This amazing formula allows for a barrier between the outside and the interior of a foundation wall or applied as a secondary roof covering that completely eliminates the water from finding a way in. Standard polyurea will not fill the gaps in between crevices, or bug holes, because it was designed to mimic the contours of the object being sprayed. On the other hand, ExpandoThane expands in those holes and crevices 7 times the volume sprayed.

THE ULTIMATE WATERPROOF MEMBRANE

ExpandoThane™ was created in 2004 and is used for a Protective Roof Coating, Specialty WaterProof Coating and any areas needing a high build Waterproof Coating. It is a VOC free Plural component hybrid with micro blowing agents to create a hard skin that expands five to seven times its volume to span gaps and fill bug holes. It may be applied directly over existing roof substrates such as metal, modified bitumen, BUR, CONCRETE, EPDM, TPO, and spray urethane foam. It also makes a great waterproof membrane for foundation walls.
